I got the following email this morning - still waiting for my fresh South African passport to come back. We need to renew soon, so may as well get it done now before the rush on British Citizenship applications begins. You got to apply early, it looks like it normally takes 2-4 months, and 6 on the outside.

Still enjoying reading the study guide for the "Life in the UK" test :-). It's pretty much Hobson's choice I hear - whatever that means.
